Students' Las Vegas' HoTeL BLoG

This students blogs about Las Vegas Hotels is an interesting site. It grabbed my attenton because it poses as a possible option for next years' "For Young Believers Only" conference. It has links to beautiful hotels in Vegas. It also addresses some of the gambling issues, people in Vegas are struggling with. The theme "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," should be exposed. People are using it as an excuse to go to Vegas and do they want and feel like they won't be held accountable for it. We need to bring EVERYTHING that happens in the dark to LIGHT. ReLatEd 2 ThiS bLoG

I was searching blogs online and I found another student blog who discusses the topic of AIDS. Her blog is entitled "Think, See and Speak." She only uses three words to describe her blog, but they are powerful. AIDS is an epedimic attacking AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUTH!!! It targets our young adult population, children as young as 14 are infected with the virus. If we learn to STOP for a minute THINK, SEE & SPEAK we can make a change. Check out the blog and let me know what you think!

Interesting Student Blogs

If you've been keeping up with my blog, you will notice that a few posts down, I mentioned something along the lines of HIV/AIDS attacking the Black community. Well, I found a student's blog who focuses on AIDS Awareness>. It doesn't necessarily focus on AIDS in the African American community, however it focuses on it as a world-wide epidemic, which it is. It has links to interesting sites on AIDS Amwareness, so if you want to read more about it...feel free to check it out, let me know what you think!

"Enriching in Jesus' Name" Blog

Now although some of us, understand and appreciate the message of prosperity that many of our "mega-preachers" teach us, some of our conservative brothers and sisters do not agree. Some of them feel that his ministry, along with Joel Osteen's, do not reflect that of Jesus and the apostles.

Whether you agree or disagree, doesn't matter to me. In the end, we all worship and serve one God and he loves us regardless.

If you want to see what they have to say about it, visit this blog:

Black ministers to tackle issue of HIV/AIDS

This is the first time in a long time that black ministers are coming together to discuss a fast-growing epedimic in the black community. African American clergy have not gathered to discuss an issue since the 1960s. Although, America is only 13.5% African-American, blacks were 49% of all HIV cases in 2005, according to the Center for Disease Control(CDC). This is an issue that black pastors need to address. Fear of speaking about sex and drugs in the church is HURTING our community. We need to do something NOW!

TD Jakes Daily Devotionals

As a Christian it is important to stay in the word of God daily. Reading the Bible can get a little boring at times and may be hardto understand, so TD Jakes has written daily devotionals to encourage Christians everywhere to get in teh word of God daily.
